Articles at HMDI:

In his article, The Right Order of Things: Peeling the Onion of Chronic Disease, Dr. Mark Hyman characterizes illness as a collection of multifaceted influences particular to the patient which create disease. He specifies that the challenge of ascertaining exactly what the patient needs for optimal biologic function follows determination of any of five proximal causes of illness. Additionally, Dr. Hyman explains related medicinal protocols, emphasizing chronological significance.

In his second article, Is the Cure for Brain Disorders Outside the Brain?, Dr. Hyman communicates that brain, mood, and neurodegenerative disorders are not localized problems, rather they generate from systemic conditions influenced by inflammation, hormonal imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, digestive disorders and other physiological issues. Treating systemic dysfunction, suggests Dr. Hyman, can facilitate the emergence of a medicinal model which provides more comprehensive solutions than the current, pharmacological model.
