Fight Allergy Symptoms With These Treatments!

Experts are predicting a doozy of a season, not good news for the 50 or so million Americans who, come springtime, develop nasal congestion, inflamed sinuses, endless sneezing, and watery and itchy eyes…

The experts foresee a major combined surge of tree and grass pollen, particularly in the Midwest and East, as a result of heavy winter precipitation and a later-than-usual springtime warm up.

According to allergist Joseph Leija of the Loyola University Health System in Chicago, who is in charge of measuring the pollen in the Midwest for the U.S. National Allergy Bureau, the season will likely be heavy, but because pollination started late, it will be shorter.

So a bit of good news…perhaps.

No matter where your location, east or west, north or south, if you suffer with seasonal allergies, the otherwise glorious springtime is often less than glorious. You probably have consulted with your doctor and know what to expect and what to do.

Still, I invite you to read this in-depth article about allergies for information and ideas that hopefully can help lessen your misery.

For instance, did you know that there could be other allergens present in your environment that could be exacerbating your seasonal pollen allergy? Such allergens include mold, dust, and pet dander. I’ve got tips for how to deal with those potential insults as well.

I also make some recommendations for treatments which boost your immune system as well as alternative measures to reduce your exposure to allergens. Your allergist may not be familiar with them. One such measure is the neti pot, a quick and simple home remedy that washes away dust, pollen, and pollutants from your nasal passages.
