Great food, loving company, and – for many – football… Thanksgiving is indeed a wonderful holiday!
No two Thanksgiving dinner tables are alike, and everyone’s got their own unique traditions (making it a great holiday to get to know in-laws or step-family).
Each Thanksgiving, my family and I enjoy many classic dishes that have been crafted with a healthy spin – we want to indulge, but moderately, and also get as much nutrition packed into our feast as possible!
What’s not to love about Thanksgiving? Just the discomfort and extra pounds caused by overeating and consuming too much sugar. (Heated discussions about politics or religion can also dampen the fun, but we’ll stick with food here.)
So you don’t eat too much and make healthier food choices… easier said than done, I realize, so below are some recipes that I hope will help you achieve the latter goal.
